Do you do re-marriages?

Yes, and I’m not one of those pastors that makes people feel guilty and shamed because of a failed relationship. But, we will talk openly and frankly about what went on in previous marriages and why. The point is to make sure that each person has owned their side of the equation as to why their marriage didn’t make it and what work they’ve done to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

How do we reserve your services to marry us?

Contact me with the essential details. We’ll set a date to meet initially and after about an hour of getting to know one another, you can decide if you’d like to have me officiate your wedding. Feel free to ask any questions by e-mail or by phone.

If the dates are available and you’d like to have my services, then a $100 deposit will reserve your date on my calendar. From that first meeting, we’ll schedule the next appointment to nail down details.

What do we talk about at the pre-marriage meetings?

We’ll talk about how you met, why you want to get married, what you see in each other that complements each other. I’ll ask lots of questions and do lots of listening and offer any advice you want that comes from my experience of counseling married couples and being married for a long time. (I’ve done my share of “not being a great husband” sometimes.)

In addition, we’ll go over your wedding ceremony and you can choose from all the options what you’d like to have or not have.

Are you one of those stuffy, out-of-touch pastors that talks in words no one understands?

Not trying to toot my own horn, but just let me say that I talk like a regular guy, in down-to-earth terms, with very understandable words and ideas. Attending boring weddings with an officiant who talks in a way that no one understands drives me crazy. I’m sure you’ll be glad you hired me.
